Great Energy All Around

It's important to become aware of your energy. Energy can be described as how you feel or vibrate inside. Energy is everywhere and everything is energy. We are energy beings and we have a storage of it within us. Circumstances, situations & people that can increase or deplete it. It can also become stagnant - not moving throughout our bodies.
When your energy is low you may feel tired, out of balance, out of harmony and this can invite in poor health. Did you ever feel wonky, out of sorts and just 'not right'? Did you ever have a heavy feeling when you walked into a place? That's your energy talking to you.
I have been feeling 'energy' since I was around 9 years old. I could sense dense energy coming from objects and people or have intuitive feelings. We all have the ability to recognize and feel the energy within and around us. Being aware of how you feel throughout the day and pausing to restore is important in protecting that energy. For example, if you are in a job that is very depleting but you can't leave it because of financial concerns, then you need to make sure you do something (meditation, exercise, yoga, QiGong) that will balance and move your energy. Situations that are depleting or tough can create stagnation in the body and this leads to disharmony and disease.
Within each of us are energy channels that lead to organs and other parts of our bodies. These channels run along our limbs and torsos in different areas. When we suffer from or feel certain emotions such as fear, anger, grief, we are effecting these channels within us. For example, rear is associated with the kidneys and the bladder. Holding on to fear can create stagnation in the energy channels and may create disharmony in those organs eventually leading to an illness.

I discovered Qi Gong over a year ago and decided to try it. Although I love Yoga and have been practicing it for years as well as teach it I find that there are times that I just want to move my body in a more fluid way without long held poses and tuning into muscular engagement. At first I felt subtle shifts of energy in the body. As I started to practice more and learn more about how we can expand and contract our energy and move it along the body I started to see larger shifts in energy.
As a QiGong Teacher in Training, I am learning how where we place our intention regarding our energy makes a huge difference in how we feel both physically and emotionally. We also have the ability to protect our energy.
Moving the body, moves the energy and we have the ability to move that energy by placing our awareness on where we want that energy to go.
We have the ability to heal ourselves. It's one of our Super Powers.
