
This class is offered at the Madison YMCA. It is a combination of Yin Yoga and Qigong (Fluid Movement). In this class we hold yoga poses longer (on the mat) approx. 3-5 minutes in order to stress/stretch the connective tissue. This improves flexibility and mobility. We then transition into a Qigong practice where we connect with and cultivate greater awareness of Qi (Energy). Qi is life force energy. Qi can become stagnant in the body. Qigong is a series of fluid movements to help move the energy. It helps us to feel more vital, energetic and in balance.
